Why I built this

I have been in cybersecurity for more than twenty-five years, and in all that time there has never been enough of a workforce to protect everything that needs protecting. Not close. There are more organisations that deserve good security than there are people able to give it to them, and the gap has never once narrowed.

I didn't arrive at that in a single moment. It came on gradually, out of a frustration that we need to do more — that the way this work gets done leaves most companies out. Quality cybersecurity has largely been for the organisations with the budget for it. Everyone else gets a thinner version, or nothing.

I've always been a builder and always been an ideamaker, but I'd never had the right opportunity, or the right timing, to make something real out of it. ELEVATE is that. I built it because there are better ways to work, and because scaling how these services are delivered is what puts them within reach of companies that could never afford them before.

This is my contribution. Something that lasts, and that helps more companies protect themselves.

Who this is for

ELEVATE was built to scale cybersecurity expertise and make it available to more companies. Quality cybersecurity has largely been for the organisations with the budget — the shortage sees to that. So the way the work gets done changes: services built once, run by the platform, delivered around the clock — expert protection that stops being a headcount question. And for the cybersecurity firms whose expertise it is — the consultancies, the security providers, the teams whose job is other people's safety — it turns what they know into services that reach further under their own brand.

What we're for

More organisations protected — not only the ones with the budget. Security work does not scale by hiring our way out of the shortage; there aren't enough of us and there never have been. It scales by changing how the work itself is done, so an analyst's expertise reaches further without getting thinner.

If that works, organisations that today get a shallow version of expert security work — or none at all — get the real thing, from people who are still making the judgements, just not doing the parts a machine should have been doing all along.

Cybersecurity is the work I know, threat intelligence included. That is where ELEVATE begins, and it is not where it stops — the hard part was never the subject, it was building something that lets expert work be delivered at a scale it has never had.

How we grow

Right now, that's me. I'm comfortable saying so — but the intention was never to stay small. It's to stay agile and nimble. LEV8 will grow deliberately and in step with its customers, rather than ahead of them.

What it means in practice today: you talk to the person who builds it, decisions don't wait on a process, and nothing gets promised by someone who won't be the one delivering it.
